The Locker Room Meeting should take place 30 minutes prior to the start of the game and should be as brief as possible.

  1. Introduce yourself, if not already done by the Game Administrator.

  2. Give the taunting warning to the team as required.

  3. Remind the players that their mouthpieces must be in place at all times and their chinstraps fastened. Mouthpieces must be non-clear and attached to the mask. Pants must not be ripped. If they have zippers, they must be zipped. If they are ripped, they must be taped or sewn before they take the ice.

  4. Remind the Goaltenders of the throat guard rule.

  5. Ask if the Captains are clearly marked.

  6. Remind the players and coaches that judgment calls may not be disputed and that penalties are judgment calls.

  7. Wish them Good Luck.

Leave immediately and do not ask if there are any questions; try to leave without answering any questions, as this creates the most confusion.
